How a bar is scored

Seven weighted signals, with older awards fading 10% a year and a penalty for bars that host more than seven visiting-bartender guest shifts a year. Stars are capped by city size, so a large city can’t crowd out the rest. The full formula is on the methodology page.

• Ranks can change between releases while the edition is provisional. Each release is tagged on GitHub with a date.
• Each bar page has a share image you may use with credit to Kinda Decent Bars.
